Matt LaCosse Looks To Be No. 1 Tight End
6 years agoAll signs are pointing to New England Patriots tight end Matt LaCosse being the team's starting tight end in Week 1. Benjamin Watson is facing a four-game suspension and the team released Austin Seferian-Jenkins, who is dealing with personal issues. LaCosse has looked smooth in practices and has good size at 6-foot-6, 255 pounds. He can give Tom Brady a viable target down the middle of the field, although he doesn't have a ton of production on his resume. LaCosse had 24 catches for 250 yards and a touchdown in 15 games with Denver last year. Keep him in mind as a deep sleeper as a TE2.
