6 years agoWhile the Chicago Cubs easily coasted to victory Monday afternoon, they suffered a troubling loss in pitcher Jon Lester. The veteran was preparing for his third inning of work when he visibly began to feel bothered by his left hamstring. After putting the first two runners on, manager Joe Maddon quickly removed him with what is being called hamstring tightness. Lester had completed two shutout innings prior to his injury, even smacking an RBI double as the Cubs quickly put the game away. He will now undergo an MRI before an official diagnosis is made.--RDelgado
