Point Streak Reaches Seven Games for Mark Giordano
6 years agoCalgary Flames defenseman Mark Giordano picked up a goal and two assists, directly contributing to all three of Calgary's goals in Saturday's win over the Canucks. Giordano now has 10 points in his last seven games, registering at least a point in each game in that stretch. Already setting a career high in points and assists, Giordano is five power-play points and six goals away from establishing career highs in those categories as well. With less than 10 games left in the season, that may not be reachable for Giordano, but he is clearly locked in as one of the top scoring blueliners in the league. Having a career-best season that is already 16 points higher than his previous best, it is not reassuring that he will be able to carry it into next season, but for now, he is one of the most productive options available.
