Aaron Jones Believed To Have Sprained MCL
6 years agoAccording to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones (knee) is believed to have sprained his MCL in a Week 15 matchup against the Chicago Bears. The injury is not thought to be serious, but it may spell and end to Jones’ season. Jones suffered the injury early in the game. He had four carries for eight yards when he exited. Jones had been an electric talent when he saw playing time this year. Green Bay’s coaching staff had been hesitant all year to give him a heavy workload, frequently favoring running back Jamaal Williams, a superior pass protector. Even with a light workload, Jones managed to produce like a RB1 in fantasy. If he did sprain his MCL, it will be the second consecutive season that he has done so. Injury concerns and playing time could be an issue for Jones next season, but his potential in fantasy remains very high.
