Toronto Maple Leafs left wing Josh Leivo was traded to the Vancouver Canucks on Monday afternoon for forward prospect Michael Carcone. This deal comes after William Nylander ended his contract stalemate on Saturday and the Leafs had to free up a roster spot. Leivo was never given a chance to succeed in Toronto due to the depth of the roster. He has produced 28 points in 84 career games despite mainly playing on the fourth line. Leivo will get an opportunity to make an impact with the Canucks as he will likely slot into a top-nine role. He is merely a depth option in deep league formats, but if he moves onto a scoring line he would be worthy of a pickup. Carcone is an AHL player that has no current fantasy value.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
