Bruce Ellington Could Be Flex Worthy Against Bears
6 years agoDetroit Lions wide receiver Bruce Ellington had a solid first game with his new team last Sunday, catching six passes on nine targets for 52 yards against the Panthers. Ellington seemed to slide into the role that Golden Tate once held, being Matthew Stafford's target on short-to-intermediate routes. This week, the first-year Lion gets to face the Bears secondary that has allowed the fourth most catches to wide receivers. This presents some potential for the 27-year-old, as the Bears have little tape on how the Lions like to use him. Ellington could be considered an all-out dart throw at a flex position if you're absolutely desperate. Keep in mind that he is listed as questionable with a back injury, after being a limited participant in practice this week.
