Jordan Spieth Serves Detention In Las Vegas
6 years agoAfter failing to participate in enough events during the 2018 PGA Tour season, Jordan Spieth heads to the Shriners Open in Las Vegas to essentially serve his detention. Based on the "Strength of Field Regulation," players are required to add a new event to their schedule or play in a minimum of 25 tournaments during the calendar season. Spieth fell one event short when he failed to qualify for the season finale Tour Championship and neglected to add a new event during the year to make up for it. While it is difficult to gauge how much motivation Spieth will have to be here, he is a world-class player that will be looking to start his 2019 season off better than he finished 2018. That alone makes him dangerous, and you should be able to get a reduced ownership percentage on the American if you decide to roster him.
