Seattle Seahawks rookie tight end Will Dissly suffered a patellar injury on Sunday that will sideline him for an extensive amount of time. Head coach Pete Carroll told reporters that Dissly's injury is a major blow that will cause the team to be promoting someone from the practice squad, so the belief is that Dissly will be lost for the year. Dissly had been a surprise for the Seahawks as he was proving to be a better receiver than expected, but that's now cut short. Fantasy owners should feel free to move on. Ed Dickson is set to be activated in a couple weeks, and he could possibly be a target when the time comes.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Will Dissly has a high floor and some projectable ceiling when the Chargers take on the Houston Texans on Saturday of Wild Card Weekend. Dissly figures to operate as a safety outlet for quarterback Justin Herbert in a game where J.K. Dobbins (ankle) and Quentin Johnston (thigh/illness) may be limited or unable to play. Rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey will surely be the focus of the passing game, but Dissly could be the second read on many plays if other Chargers are forced to miss the contest. Dissly only scored two touchdowns in the regular season, but after Week 6, he averaged five targets per game and could be needed more in the red zone because of the injuries to the offense.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Will Dissly scored a touchdown in a Week 18 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Dissly was targeted six times, making five catches for 42 yards. His touchdown came on a two-yard pass from Justin Herbert near the beginning of the fourth quarter. Dissly ended up second on the team in catches and third in targets. Stone Smartt, who had been splitting tight end work with Dissly, finished the game without a single target. Dissly should remain the top tight end option for the Bolts on Saturday when they face the Texans in the first round of the playoffs.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Will Dissly doesn't have much upside in a Week 18 game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Dissly will share snaps with Stone Smartt and possibly also with Hayden Hurst in a game that could see a lot of Chargers starters getting some rest. Dissly would seemingly have the highest floor of the three Bolts tight ends, but he's still in the middle of TE2 rankings at best.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Will Dissly (shoulder) returned from a two-game absence and was active in a Week 17 win over the New England Patriots. Dissly was targeted three times, making two catches for 21 yards total. He shared duties with Stone Smartt, who had taken over the starting role while Dissly was out. Smartt saw two targets and made two catches. With the Chargers involving 11 different pass catchers in their passing game, there wasn't much to go around for the tight ends. Both Chargers tight ends are non-zero floor guys without much of a ceiling.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
