Marquise Goodwin Does Not Practice Thursday
6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (quadriceps) did not practice for the second straight day on Thursday. Goodwin will need to get in at least a limited practice on Friday to have any chance of suiting up for Week 2 against the Lions. Goodwin was a popular breakout player in fantasy drafts, but he put up a donut in the season opener before leaving with an injury, and he's in danger of sitting Week 2 out. Pierre Garcon would be quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo's No. 1 receiver if Goodwin sits out, while Dante Pettis (two catches, 61 yards and a TD) would be intriguing as a WR4/flex. Tight end George Kittle, who is already a nice low-end TE1, could be in line for much more work, too, if Goodwin doesn't play.
