Marquise Goodwin Does Not Practice Thursday
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (quadriceps) did not practice for the second straight day on Thursday. Goodwin will need to get in at least a limited practice on Friday to have any chance of suiting up for Week 2 against the Lions. Goodwin was a popular breakout player in fantasy drafts, but he put up a donut in the season opener before leaving with an injury, and he's in danger of sitting Week 2 out. Pierre Garcon would be quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo's No. 1 receiver if Goodwin sits out, while Dante Pettis (two catches, 61 yards and a TD) would be intriguing as a WR4/flex. Tight end George Kittle, who is already a nice low-end TE1, could be in line for much more work, too, if Goodwin doesn't play.
