LeGarrette Blount a Non-Factor as Lions Starter
6 years agoDetroit Lions running back LeGarrette Blount was held to negative-three yards on four carries and wasn't targeted in the passing game in his debut as the starter out of the Lions backfield. His night was cut short in the second half when he left the game after getting bent backward awkwardly on his fourth carry. Per Lions beat writer Dave Birkett, the injury is not expected to cause the veteran to miss any time moving forward. Regardless of any injury, Blount's fantasy night was toast as soon as the blowout game-flow ensued, rendering his rush-only services useless. He and the Lions will look to bounce back in Week 2 against a Niners front that held Vikings running backs to just over three yards per carry last week.
