Aaron Rodgers Leads Big Comeback Following Injury
It was looking like Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers (knee) may have been done for the year following an awkward sack in the second quarter of a Week 1 matchup against the Chicago Bears. However, Rodgers came back onto the field in the second half and shrugged off a slow start to lead Green Bay to victory. Rodgers was 20-for-30 passing with 286 yards and three touchdowns in the game, with most of his production coming on a single leg. Green Bay was frustrated by Chicago’s defense early, but found success when they transitioned to a quicker passing game. Rodgers is simply incredible and demonstrated why he should always be considered a top fantasy option if he is on the field. There is no word yet on the seriousness of the injury. Despite coming back onto the field, Rodgers may miss a significant amount of time. If he does, quarterback Deshone Kizer would take his place. Kizer would struggle to fill Rodgers shoes and shouldn’t be considered a useful handcuff.
