J.A. Happ Brilliant In Oakland No-Decision

Coming off a rough home start against the Detroit Tigers his last time out, New York Yankees starter J.A. Happ bounced back in a huge way. Taking on the Oakland Athletics in a pivotal AL Wild Card matchup, the 35-year-old allowed just one run on two hits in six innings of work, hitting a batter, walking another and striking out five. Happ threw just 78 pitches, clearly able to go further into the game had manager Aaron Boone allowed him. The former Toronto Blue Jay has been sensational since arriving in New York, going 5-0 with a 3.10 ERA in seven starts with his new club. He's recorded five quality starts thus far with the Yankees.
