6 years agoNow the clear second catcher in the aftermath of the acquisition of Wilson Ramos, Philadelphia Phillies catcher Jorge Alfaro was given a start on Tuesday night. Taking on the Washington Nationals at Citizens Bank Park, Alfaro batted eighth and drilled a two-run home run in the fifth inning of the game, increasing his club's lead to three runs. While Ramos later came on as a pinch-hitter, Alfaro stayed in the game and would see his club blow the lead en route to another disappointing defeat.--RDelgado
