Ryan Borucki Destroyed by Yankees on Sunday
6 years agoRyan Borucki is just the latest Toronto Blue Jays starter to get torched by the New York Yankees. On Sunday afternoon, Borucki failed to get out of the first inning, only recording two measly outs before being pulled from the game. He gave up six earned runs on four hits (one of which was a grand slam) while walking two batters and striking out none. Borucki had a 2.79 ERA with 25 strikeouts across five starts in July, but the wheels have fallen off in August. Borucki owns an ugly 7.13 ERA with just five strikeouts across four starts in the month. He has had some great performances which showcase the reason why he is the eighth-ranked prospect in the Jays system, but he is simply too inconsistent to be valuable in redraft leagues this season.
