End Eric Ebron Could Lower Jack Doyle's Value
6 years agoThe Indianapolis Colts added tight end Eric Ebron this offseason. The former first-round pick struggled to ever gain consistent traction with the Detroit Lions. Quarterback Andrew Luck has consistently done well with tight ends in the past. Both Coby Fleener and Jack Doyle developed into top-10 options at the tight end position with Luck under center. However, they were never able to support a second tight end. Dwayne Allen was never more than a run blocker, and Ebron's value relies on his ability to stretch the field. Doyle was one of the most sure-handed receiving threats last season, while Ebron has never been anything like that. If Ebron and Luck develop some connection, Doyle's value could take a big hit.
