Dylan Frittelli Posts Career-Best Major Finish
6 years agoDylan Frittelli has struggled early in his career at major championship events but was able to provide a T31 finish at the PGA Championship, his best finish at a grand slam tournament in his career. The South African has had a disappointing year on the PGA Tour. In events that have a cut to them, Frittelli has only made four out of nine cuts on the PGA Tour in 2018 and has failed to provide a top-10 finish in the process. However, the 28-year-old has been a completely different player on the European Tour. He has made eight of nine cuts and produced seven top-25 results. Frittelli played his college golf at the University of Texas, so it is somewhat surprising to see him struggle in the United States. The 63rd-ranked player in the world does his best work off of the tee, and he will be an intriguing name to keep in mind in 2019 at venues that allow him to gain strokes in that fashion.
