Vince Velasquez Lasts Just Four Innings In Afternoon Loss
6 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies wrapped up a three-game set in Arizona against the Diamondbacks this afternoon, falling in a scoreless defeat. On the mound was Vince Velasquez, the enigmatic starter who was coming off a victory against the Miami Marlins. The 26-year-old surrendered four runs on six hits in four innings of work, walking two and striking out two. Velasquez is on his way to another mediocre season, although he stands just one win away from setting a personal record. Additionally, with his ERA still under 4.00, he would finish with a career-low in that category as well.
