Marqise Lee 2018 Outlook: Decent Floor In Crowded Receiving Corps
6 years agoI didn't intend for the title rhyme, it just worked out that way. Marqise Lee is a solid WR. Not great. Not terrible. Solid. The Jaguars have an abundance of WRs with no one really standing out as head and shoulders above the rest. If it were up to me, the Jaguars staring WRs would be Keelan Cole and D.J. Chark with Lee playing the slot. Knowing the Jaguars, they'll probably start Dede Westbrook and Donte Moncrief, the two worst WRs on the team. Either way, Lee should be the guy in the slot and likely the primary option in the passing game. That gives Lee a decent, if unspectacular floor. Obviously playing for a QB that barely has enough talent to make a CFL roster doesn't help, but Lee can be a floor WR3 this season and is a fine double digit round pick if you're looking for a plug n play guy you know won't get you zero.
