When running back Derrius Guice fell to Washington in the third round, many experts were surprised. Guice was considered the number two RB in the draft, but rumors of possible off-the-field issues saw his stock drop. Alas, those rumors never came to fruition and Washington may have gotten one of the steals of the 2018 class. While the Washington situation may not have been the absolute best, it is still a great spot for Guice to land. Between Rob Kelley and Samaje Perine, Washington had little consistency in the running game in 2017. In fact, the team's best back was Chris Thompson, a 5'8"190-pound player who is typically featured in the passing game. Guice should easily win the starting role and should handle the bulk of the teams early down and goal line work. In 2017, Kelley and Perine combined for 237 carries, and it's not hard to envision Guice pushing 250. If he gets work in the passing game, or if Thomspon misses time, his ceiling could be even higher. As of now though, he is better in a standard scoring format as his lack of receptions will likely hurt him in a PPR league. Still, Guice should be a solid RB2 in any format and has upside for more.--cmangano
