6 years agoSeattle Mariners DH Nelson Cruz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Colorado. It's a shame really, because you'd want the power Cruz offer in Coor's Field, but because Cruz is a full time DH now and they're playing in an NL park, the Mariners don't want him in the outfield and risking injury. Unfortunately, this is one of the problems you have to deal with when you have a full time DH. He will more than likely make a pinch hit appearance, but you still can't start a player for one at bat. Not to worry though, after the Mariner's leave Colorado, they won't play in an NL park again until late August when they take on the Diamondbacks in Arizona.--Steve McCarthy - RotoBaller
