Tyler Wade Posts Another Multi-Hit Game
6 years agoFor the second time in three games, New York Yankees infielder Tyler Wade showed the club what he can do at the plate. Starting at shortstop for a resting Didi Gregorius, the 23-year-old batted ninth, picking up two hits and scoring a run in what would ultimately be a 6-5 loss to the Cleveland Indians Friday night at Progressive Field. He’s now recorded five hits in the past three games. Additionally, Wade is hitting .462 across his last seven games, providing the Yankees with a serviceable replacement for the injured Gleyber Torres. Expect for him to see consistent playing time until Torres returns.
