Cheslor Cuthbert To Begin Rehab Friday
7 years agoKansas City Royals backup infielder Cheslor Cuthbert is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Omaha on Friday as he comes back from a lower back strain. Cuthbert has been sidelined since May 16 due to the issue. Cuthbert is a mediocre player if given a full season, as he hit .274 with 12 home runs in 475 at-bats in 2016 when Mike Moustakas went down with a torn ACL, but he'd be expected to ride the bench when he returns as long as Moose is still with the team. Once Moose is traded, the 25-year-old would probably take over as the new third baseman, for what little that's worth.
