Chad Bettis Escapes With Minimal Runs Allowed
6 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Chad Bettis bounced back from five straight terrible outings on Tuesday and only allowed two earned runs against the Giants, but that was much more due to good fortune than good pitching. Bettis walked four and allowed six hits over the course of 6 1/3 innings, stranding 93% of runners who reached base against him. In case any owner was thinking that this one "good" outing was enough to convince them to reinvest in Bettis, they should pass on him for now.
