Jordan Lyles Gets Good News On MRI, Could Return in 10 Days
7 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Jordan Lyles (elbow) got good news from his MRI after getting confirmation that he was only experiencing inflammation in his elbow. Getting scratched with forearm or elbow inflammation and being immediately placed on the disabled list can be very scary for a pitcher, but as Lyles expected, inflammation was all that was there. He reportedly should be able to return right at or soon after he is eligible to return, which is on July 4. If you're out of DL spots, feel free to let him go if there is anything on the waiver wire that will be any sort of help to your team. However, if you already own Lyles, it's probably a deeper league already.
