6 years agoKansas City Royals shortstop/utility man Alcides Escobar got his first taste of center field last week, and he'll try the hot corner on Monday. Escobar is scooting over to cover third base for Mike Moustakas while Moose gets a day off on Monday, and rookie Adalberto Mondesi will start at shortstop. Escobar's glove is solid and as a veteran, manager Ned Yost still loves him, so even though Escobar has the fourth worst WAR amongst offensive players in the league, he will continue to get regular playing time. His terrible hitting should keep him off the vast majority of fantasy rosters no matter how many positions he qualifies at though.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
