Wade Davis Logs 21st Save
Colorado Rockies closer Wade Davis got the job done on Wednesday as he nailed down his 21st save of the season. Davis has recently gone through a rocky patch and Wednesday wasn't his best work, as he gave up a hit and didn't strike anyone out. However, he did move back into a tie for first in the National League by doing his job. Davis is still putting up the save numbers of a stud, but he's also blown more saves this season than ever before in his career and his strikeout numbers are the lowest they've been since he was a starter five years ago. With inflated walk numbers, dropping strikeout numbers and his recent run of blown saves, it wouldn't be a bad time for owners to look for a trade partner and cash in before it truly implodes. If Adam Ottavino isn't owned in any league, he should be.
