Odubel Herrera Smacks Game-Winning Home Run

After the St. Louis Cardinals scored two runs in the sixth inning to tie Wednesday afternoon’s series finale against the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park, the home team wasted little time in regaining their lead. After Rhys Hoskins struck out swinging to begin the bottom of the seventh, center fielder Odubel Herrera stepped up seeking his third hit on the day. He would be successful, but this would be his biggest hit of the day as he smacked a solo home run to right field. It was the decisive hit of the game as it put the Phillies ahead 4-3, which would be the final score.
