Shelby Miller Dominates Rehab Start
6 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starter Shelby Miller (elbow) was dominant in his fourth rehab start, allowing just three hits and no runs while striking out 10 batters over 6 2/3 innings. It was Miller's second rehab start with Single-A Visalia. Miller was on a limited pitch count, but made the most of his opportunities, throwing 56 of his 81 pitches for strikes. Manager Torey Lovullo has guaranteed that Miller will return to the starting rotation when activated, which could be sooner rather than later. Owners should take a wait and see approach with Miller, as he hasn't shown enough upside with the Diamondbacks to warrant a stash outside of very deep leagues.
