David Peralta Smacks Two-Run Home Run
7 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder David Peralta went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Arizona's loss to the Pirates on Wednesday. It was Peralta's 12th homer of the season, easily putting him on pace to surpass his previous career high of 17. It was a bit of a lucky shot, as the ball bounced off of Austin Meadows' glove and barely cleared the fence. Peralta's owners won't care, as the outfielder has now put together a modest five-game hit streak, recording seven RBI over that span. He isn't the flashiest option, but Peralta can provide enough counting stats in the heart of the Arizona lineup to warrant a spot as a third or fourth outfielder in fantasy leagues.
