7 years agoThe Atlanta Braves have selected right-handed pitcher Carter Stewart with the eighth overall pick in the MLB amateur draft. Stewart, who is coming straight out of high school, stands 6-foot-6 and has a curveball that is bound to dazzle. Stewart's curveball has registered a spin rate over 3,000 rpm, which would've made it the highest spin rate in baseball. After dominating in high school, Stewart has major strikeout potential as he continues to grow and get stronger.--Feldman Zach
