Andrew Triggs Starts Throwing Program Wednesday
7 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Andrew Triggs (triceps) began a throwing program Wednesday, which was his first time throwing since going on the disabled list. Triggs has been on the DL since May 18 with nerve irritation related to a triceps strain. Triggs was feeling numbness in his fingers before landing on the DL and does not currently have a concrete timeline. Triggs owns a 5.23 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and a 43:18 strikeout-to-walk rate across 41 1/3 innings this season. While the peripheral numbers suggest the ERA should come down a touch, Triggs has no definitive timeline and has not been great when healthy, so there's no need to own him right now.
