Pedro Florimon Hits DL With Broken Foot
7 years agoAfter exiting Tuesday night’s game with a foot injury, the worst fears have been realized for Philadelphia Phillies infielder Pedro Florimon. The 31-year-old suffered a broken foot when he fouled a ball off of it in the first inning of the victory against the Los Angeles Dodgers. As a result of his injury and subsequent disabled list stint, the club announced that Mitch Walding will be promoted from Triple-A Lehigh Valley. The 25-year-old has spent the past seven seasons in the minor leagues, hitting 25 home runs at Double-A Reading last season. It's unlikely he'll see enough playing time to be fantasy relevant.
