Joey Wendle Part Of Three Straight Homers Tuesday
7 years agoTampa Bay Rays second baseman Joey Wendle would be part of an interesting sequence Tuesday versus the Athletics. He would be the second batter in a back-to-back-to-back home run stretch for the Rays in the third inning. It was only his second HR of the season. He is currently batting .283 on the season in 145 at-bats. The upside for Wendle for the rest of the season would be something like 10 home runs, 10 stolen bases and a .285 batting average. Wendle has value in deep mixed leagues and AL-only leagues. He does not offer enough upside to be a regular starter in shallow mixed leagues.
