Travis Jankowski Providing Tremendous Value At Leadoff Position For Padres
7 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Travis Jankowski went 2-for-4 with a run in the 3-2 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Jankowski, who has always been seen as an elite defender and baserunner, however, could never get his hitting going is swinging a hot bat since being called up earlier this year. He joined the team on April 29 and since then, has batted for a .370 batting average, .960 OPS, five stolen bases, and 11 runs in only 54 at-bats. While he's only got two RBI and one home run this year, his value in fantasy comes from stolen bases and batting average. He should be owned in all deeper formats and is a solid add for those in shallower formats needing stolen bases.
