7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals rookie starting pitcher Jack Flaherty was optioned to Triple-A Memphis on Sunday. He was okay in his start on Saturday, but had a hard time with his control. With Adam Wainwright (elbow) seemingly ready to make his next start, Flaherty will vacate the rotation spot and head down to Triple-A to continue getting consistent starts. He's the next guy up in the rotation and he's dripping with upside, so fantasy owners who have the roster space may try keeping him around.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
