Jakob Junis Sparkles In Night Cap
7 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Jakob Junis helped the good times roll for Royals fans on Friday night as he helped guide the team to their fourth victory of the season. Junis only allowed two earned runs over eight innings against the Tigers, and a ninth-inning rally by his offense helped score him the win. Junis has been stellar for the Royals so far, but there are clouds on the horizon. Junis's success has hinged on 90.4% strand rate and a BABIP of just .169, and both numbers are due for pretty dramatic corrections. He's still a good pitcher, so his FIP is only 4.00 at this time, but that's a far cry from the 2.03 ERA he's currently rocking. Fantasy owners would be advised to move him quickly before those runners start to score more often.
