Raiders Targeting Roquan Smith
7 years agoAccording to ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay, there is no question the Oakland Raiders want Georgia linebacker Roquan Smith with the 10th overall pick in the first round. “Roquan Smith is the guy,” McShay said on a conference call Wednesday morning. “I don’t know that they would be willing to give away additional picks later to go up and get him. But he’s the guy they want.” Virginia Tech linebacker Tremaine Edmunds is another option as the Raiders look to beef up their linebacking corps through the draft. Smith had 137 tackles, 6.5 sacks and 14 tackles for loss in his final college season and won the Butkus Award as the top linebacker. The Colts (No. 6), Bears (No. 8) and 49ers (No. 9) could also be looking at Smith.
