Tyler Austin Tossed As Yankees, Red Sox Brawl
7 years agoThe New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox are eternal rivals and once again proved why Wednesday at Fenway Park. After first baseman Tyler Austin slid into second base in a manner that Boston second baseman Brock Holt took exception to, the benches briefly cleared. In the seventh inning, Red Sox reliever Joe Kelly drilled Austin on a second attempt, causing the 26-year-old to charge the mound as a brawl broke out. Both men were ejected, and a sense that the rivalry was truly back emerged. Austin picked up one hit and drove in a run on the night before Neil Walker took over at first.
