Dolphins Turned Down Deal For C.J. Anderson
7 years agoThe Miami Dolphins nixed a trade that would have netted them Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson in exchange for right tackle Ja'Wuan James, according to multiple NFL sources. Despite recording his first 1,000-yard season in 2017, Anderson is due $4.5 million in 2018 with no dead salary cap money if he's traded or released, and the Broncos apparently wouldn't mind having Devontae Booker and De'Angelo Henderson share the backfield. Denver could also draft a running back early in this month's draft. The Broncos could wait to dangle Anderson in a draft-day trade also. Anderson's best bet for continued fantasy success would be to remain in Denver, but even then we may have already seen his peak last season.
