Kyle Freeland Takes The Loss Versus San Diego
7 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Kyle Freeland got beat by the San Diego Padres on Tuesday as he took the loss in his first start of the season. Freeland handled everyone except Christian Villanueva fine through the first five innings, but he allowed two runners in the sixth before getting replaced. His replacement unfortunately allowed both runners to score to dirty up Freeland's final line. Freeland didn't pitch poorly overall, striking out six and only allowing five hits and two walks, but the final line looked nasty. Freeland should still be treated as a back-of-the-rotation starter in deep leagues.
