Tyler Austin Homers Twice In Defeat
7 years agoWith the power bats of the New York Yankees once agains struggling to produce this afternoon in Toronto, first baseman Tyler Austin did his best to lead the club to victory. The 26-year-old drilled a game-tying, two-run home run in the fifth inning to tie the game at two runs. Once the Blue Jays took the lead back, Austin once again brought the Yankees back. Batting from the eight spot, he hit another home run in the seventh inning to once again draw level. While the Yankees bullpen would later surrender two more runs and subsequently lose the game, Austin’s game was encouraging as the bats struggled for a second consecutive day.
