Russell Westbrook Falls One Rebound Shy of Triple-Double
7 years agoOklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook had another monster stat-line on Friday, but wasn't able to get his team the W in the overtime loss to Denver. Westbrook scored an inefficient 33 points against the Nuggets, hitting four three-pointers along the way in this one. He also did a lot of damage passing the ball, coming away with 13 assists, as well as nine rebounds on the night. Westbrook was a factor on defense also, chipping in two steals and a block, while keeping his turnovers relatively low, with only two committed in his team-high 44 minutes. This loss places the Thunder in the six slot behind the Timberwolves in the West. Expect a strong finish to the season for Westbrook, as OKC fights for positioning going into the playoffs.
