Jon Gillies Starts For Flames On Thursday
Calgary Flames goaltender Jon Gillies is set to make his seventh career start on Thursday as the team hosts Columbus. Gillies hasn't played since allowing four goals in a 4-3 overtime loss in Pittsburgh on March 5. He owns a 2-2-1 record this season in five starts, allowing 2.78 goals per game with a .904 save percentage. Gillies is not in a good spot to perform, as the Flames are hurt and falling like a rock. Meanwhile, the Jackets have dropped just one of their last 12 games and they actually haven't lost in Calgary since 2011.
