7 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Yasmany Tomas has officially been optioned to Triple-A Reno. There was hope that the Cuban slugger could make the team due to Steven Souza's injury, but manager Torey Lovullo once again emphasized the team's focus on defense, meaning Tomas had no place on the roster behind A.J. Pollock, David Peralta, Jarrod Dyson, Chris Owings and Daniel Descalso. It will be a tough road back to the majors for Tomas, and fantasy owners shouldn't expect him to provide value anytime this season.--Jonathan Chan - Rotoballer
