7 years agoFree agent closer Greg Holland is slowly making his way towards a deal for the 2018 season. Among the several teams he is in contact with, the Diamondbacks are seemingly one of the more likely destinations, as they are in the playoff hunt without an established closer. Holland's 41 saves with the Rockies was tied for second in the majors last season. However, his poor second half (6.38 ERA) and bloated walk rate (4.05 BB/9) may cause teams to hesitate in giving him a big money deal. After J.D. Martinez signed with the Red Sox, the D'Backs have the budget to make a play for Holland, and if he were to sign, it's likely he would be the closer at some point during the season.--Jonathan Chan - Rotoballer
