Jusuf Nurkic Dominates The Heat In WIn
7 years agoPortland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic was absolutely dominant against the Miami Heat on Monday night. He finished the game with 27 points on 12-for-18 shooting to go along with 16 rebounds, three assists and three blocks. Nurkic torched opposing center Bam Adebayo on offense and locked him down on defense as well, holding him to just 1-for-10 shooting. After having a solid February, Nurkic has been inconsistent so far in March. He's struggled with turnovers and free-throw percentage this month. For instance, in his six March games, he's averaging 3.0 turnovers per game and is shooting 61 percent from the free-throw line. Owners should be optimistic about Nurkic's next game, though, as he takes on the Cleveland Cavaliers, who have gotten torched by centers all season. They've given up the third most points per game to the center position and allow the second highest field-goal percentage to opposing centers. As a result, Nurkic seems primed for another strong game.
