Erasmo Ramirez Plays Catch Saturday
7 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Erasmo Ramirez (shoulder) played catch Saturday for the first time since he was shut down three weeks ago, and manager Scott Servais said there's still a chance that Ramirez could be in the rotation by the time the team needs a fifth starter in mid-April. After returning to Seattle midseason last year, Ramirez pitched well, going 1-3 with a 3.92 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 11 starts, but his 7.8 K/9 left a lot to be desired. He's mainly an option in deep AL-only leagues as an innings-eater.
