Erasmo Ramirez Plays Catch Saturday
Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Erasmo Ramirez (shoulder) played catch Saturday for the first time since he was shut down three weeks ago, and manager Scott Servais said there's still a chance that Ramirez could be in the rotation by the time the team needs a fifth starter in mid-April. After returning to Seattle midseason last year, Ramirez pitched well, going 1-3 with a 3.92 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 11 starts, but his 7.8 K/9 left a lot to be desired. He's mainly an option in deep AL-only leagues as an innings-eater.
