Felix Hernandez's X-Rays Come Back Negative
7 years agoAfter being struck by a line drive on his upper forearm Monday, Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Felix Hernandez's (forearm) X-rays came back negative. He will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis. King Felix looks to have dodged a bullet here, but the M's will likely give him as much time as he needs before his next spring start. Hernandez, who is entering his age-32 season, isn't the fantasy ace we grew accustomed to anymore. He posted a 4.36 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and only 78 strikeouts in 86 2/3 frames and landed on the disabled list in 2017. Seattle will also skip some of his starts to keep him healthy throughout the year, capping his upside, which is minimal these days.
