7 years agoLos Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma scored a team-high 23 points in a loss to the Pelicans on Thursday night. Coming off the bench, he also pitched in with five rebounds, an assist and a steal. He will have to play the second leg of their back-to-back versus the Minnesota Timberwolves in their last game before the All-Star break. With Larry Nance out of the equation in the Lakers front-court logjam, Kuzma's role will now become stable as the backup of Julius Randle for the time being. His numbers have been down without Lonzo Ball, so when Ball is back after the break, Kuzma should return to putting up his normal numbers.--Kyle Pineda
