7 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers point guard/forward Ben Simmons had another strong performance on Wednesday against the Nets, scoring 24 points on an efficient 11-for-16 shooting in the game. Simmons wasn't his usual self on the glass, picking up only two boards on the night, but was dishing the ball out left, right and center, finishing with seven in his team-high 37 minutes. He also came away with one steal, while keeping his turnover numbers down, accounting for only one in this one. Simmons is surely hoping to be named an All-Star with Kevin Love (hand) being ruled out for the next 6-8 weeks after his injury on Tuesday night; he has a great shot at getting the nod and will look to solidify his All-Star status on Friday against the Heat.--Matthew Thomas

3 weeks agoLos Angeles Clippers forward Ben Simmons (knee) has a chance to return from his seven-game absence to face the Atlanta Hawks on Friday. He's been out due to what the team is calling injury management on his left knee. Since being traded away from Brooklyn, Simmons has appeared in five games and averages 6.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.4 steals across 21.2 minutes per game. If he remains sidelined, however, Amir Coffey and Derrick Jones Jr. should still see the bulk of the bench minutes. Neither one is strongly recommended as streaming options except for very deep leagues.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBaller

4 weeks agoLos Angeles Clippers guard/forward Ben Simmons (knee) won't travel with the team for the upcoming three-game road trip. Simmons has missed the last five games and will sit out at least three more contests. When healthy, Simmons was actually a decent fantasy option for the Clippers, but it's unclear when he's going to play again. In the meantime, Amir Coffey and Derrick Jones Jr. should see increased roles in the rotation. Neither player is an ideal fantasy option, but they could offer some deep league value.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

1 month agoLos Angeles Clippers guard/forward Ben Simmons (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Friday's game against the New York Knicks. Simmons will now miss his fourth game in a row due to a left knee injury. Simmons was actually a decent streaming option when he was healthy, but now it's unclear when he'll get back on the floor. His next chance to play will be against the Sacramento Kings on Sunday. Both Amir Coffey and Derrick Jones Jr. should see increased roles in the rotation until Simmons returns. Jones is the better streaming choice between the two forwards right now.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

1 month agoLos Angeles Clippers guard/center Ben Simmons (knee) will remain out for Tuesday's tilt against the Phoenix Suns. He is forced to miss a second straight game due to a sore left knee. After building up some good momentum, Simmons has once again encountered health issues, and he may miss several games in quick succession as the Clippers head into a stretch of three games in four nights. With Simmons sidelined on Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers, Nicolas Batum and Drew Eubanks took on larger roles in the rotation. However, neither player significantly impacts fantasy basketball.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
